On Saturday, September 6, 2025, family, friends, and Liberians from across the U.S. and Liberia gathered at Vailsburg Assembly of God Church, Newark, NJ, to celebrate the life and legacy of Johnson T. Jarbo, Sr.Mr. Jarbo was an integral part of the Liberian Community Association of New York City (LICANY) for many decades, contributing selflessly to the growth and unity of the community. The service was blessed with the presence of community leaders, including Hon. Mohammed Keita (ULAA President), Mrs. Janet Lewis (Sisterhood of Liberia President), the Coordinator of Millennium Men of Liberia, and Hon. Sam Wouyeah (LICANY President).The Eulogy, “Death is Not the End,” was delivered by Rev. Dr. Elijah N. Wreh, Jr. of the Anointed Church for Christ Mission Church, uplifting all in the assurance that Mr. Jarbo’s life and legacy endure beyond this world.The Liberian Community Association of New York (LICANY) extends deepest sympathy to the Jarbo family and thanks all who joined in honoring his memory.
